I arrived at the lake around lunchtime and spent a good few hours walking around and talking to the anglers there already before selecting my swim. After spending time with the smartcast and marker rod choosing the swim and positions for the rods the wind picked up and blew in a rainstorm from the west. Having spent 24 hours on the east bank getting blown to pieces and watching carp moving on the back of the wind on the west bank i had decided enough was enough and a move was in order, if only to escape the howling wind and get my hearing back. Back on The Syndicate for another session in the south east corner of the lake and conditions are ideal. This time i have bought some corkball popups with me to use with choddys and helicopter rigs in an effort to get the presentation right over the silty bottom. Having fished hard for two months for only two fish i took three weeks off to recharge my batteries and decide what next. After having a conversation with MrMartin my enthusiasm soon came back and i decided to move onto another one of the lakes on the complex that i had fished earler on in the season.
