Efforts are continuously being made in order to revitalize the local economy of Puerto Vallarta. The “alleged” Swine Flu gravely affected Puerto Vallarta’s tourism. In order to push the economy, Route 200 Bar & Grill, is introducing Noche de Vecinos which is Neighbors Night that fall on Wednesdays. Route 200 Bar & Grill is a great “old-fashioned” yet traditional biker bar situated next to the Farmacia Guadalajara in Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit. It is also simply known to the locals as ‘Choppers’.

The intention behind this is to rekindle the economy in the area of Banderas Bay. The local economy was affected by three major factors, firstly by the economic down turn which has sprung globally. Secondly, by the relentless media reports which sensationalized the violence in Mexico related to the drug mafia. And thirdly, by the magnanimous reports on the Swine Flu which did not even reach Puerto Vallarta. All these baseless reasons have led to such economic meltdown in Puerto Vallarta that not only the locals but also the authorities are perplexed as to what should be done. In such cases the spirit of Puerto Vallarta does not diminish but grows stronger. With the launch of this activity headed by the Puerto Vallarta Choppers or Route 200 Bar & Grill, perhaps the economy or the people can be helped. The Puerto Vallarta Choppers have purchased many gift certificates pertaining to restaurants, gym inscriptions salons and many more which will be raffled on every Wednesday night.
