A quad bike is a bike made up of four wheels. As the name suggests, the word quad originates from the word number four. Quad biking therefore means riding on a four wheeled bike either for fun or for a competition. A quad bike is a kind of motor bike with four large wheels. There are various quad biking games online and physical bike riding. The land and leisure equipment for quad biking are dirt or quad bikes, buggies, pedal toys and the most important safety gear. Safety gear includes safety gloves, elbow protectors, body amours, and helmets for both adults and children, batteries pre-filled with gel electrolyte. Maintenance and safety tips include having the correct tire pressure; dry chain lube is the best, rest the remote by pressing on the lock open in case the alarm keeps sounding when riding. It is very important to do the morning inspection of the bikes before riding.

Quad bike gear comprises of a helmet, long or short sleeve jersey, protective gloves, high and clear visibility pair of glasses, rock guard, a pair of suitable shoes with a smooth sole grip, and a pair of sports of shorts. The wheels and tires should be between size 12-18.One should also have rear shocks and springs spares to minimize accidents. Anti-pollution masks are equally important including watches. Quad biking has very many advantages as it comes with some benefits. A rider not only maintains his physique but there may be insurance cover for the owner in case of event cover. Insurance policy might cover the entire family and may include while on transit. Insurance cover depends on the countries’ policy for example if a rider has to ride in Europe then he typically needs to take the European insurance, the standard UK policy may not protect him.

Get it all at the thirteenth annual Sturgis on the River motorcycle rally from June 14 16, 2007. This event in downtown Davenport, Iowa, is the largest gathering of motorcycles in the Midwest. The free event takes place along the Mississippi River on the showgrounds west of the Centennial Bridge, John O’Donnell stadium, and LeClaire Park. The showgrounds are located at 215 S. Marquette Street. All makes and models of motorcycles are welcome.

There are different rides scheduled for each night to see the most of the area from rides along the river, on the Great River Road, and through the countryside. Ride maps will be available that show attractions, casinos, and places to stop and get a bite to eat. Choose from a 4, 6, or 8 hour ride.

Enjoy powerhouse bands until midnight on all three nights! Sturgis on the River also features over 100 product vendor booths to help complete the perfect setting for a perfect weekend. General gate admission is $5.00 per person or FREE to motorcyclists who ride in.
