Delta Air Lines said it is buying a 3.5 percent equity stake in Mexican airline Aero-mexico for about USD$65 million. The agreement builds on an existing commercial alliance between the airlines and will more closely link Delta’s network to Mexico, the company said in a statement. As part of the deal, Delta will take a seat on the Aero-mexico board, the companies said. Separately, Delta chief executive Richard Anderson said his company still plans to order 200 planes by year-end. Delta will make a decision on that order in the third or fourth quarter, he said. The US airline has no plans to replace its existing wide-body fleet, Anderson said.

Delta Airlines, a major airline based in the United States and headquartered in College Park, Georgia, operates an extensive domestic and international network serving all continents except Antarctica. Delta and its subsidiaries operate over 4,000 flights every day. Delta grew through the addition of routes and the acquisition of other airlines. It replaced propeller planes with jets in the 1960s and entered international competition to Europe in the 1970s and across the Pacific in the 1980s. Delta’s corporate headquarters is housed in a corporate campus on the northern boundary of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, within the city limits of Atlanta. This location has served as Delta’s headquarters since 1941, when the company relocated its corporate offices from Monroe, Louisiana to Atlanta. Delta, Delta Connection, and other flights from the SkyTeam partners have 6,795 daily flights.

And the reason for that should be obvious. If you’re local doctor is going to be doing any kind of post-operative care they need to be in the loop. The feedback I got on that tip was really interesting. Here’s what one patient said, “Are you saying this because of liability issues or are you being polite? Because no one I know would consult their local doctor first, because your local doctor would want to do the work, and would advise against going out of the country.” If you get that response from your doctor, don’t let the response daunt you. You’re going to run into professionals in all industries who are either not educated on medical tourism or negatively biased by disposition. However, there is a good reason why a lot of doctors are not interested in collaborating with foreign doctors — and that’s the issue of liability. So please understand that it’s easier for them to say “no” than it is to collaborate. But if you can get
